Appointments/ New Clients
Our appointment times are based upon what services are needed. When calling to make an appointment, please tell the receptionist what type of appointment is desired. As our appointment times are often full, we appreciate 24-hour notice for any cancellations or rescheduling.
Vaccination/Wellness appointments are 20 minutes and include a history by the veterinary technician or assistant and a conventional physical examination. A fecal/stool sample is taken and any blood samples for wellness testing is taken.
Acupuncture/Holistic appointments are 40 minutes at the first visit. Follow up evaluations are 10-30 minutes and based upon the individual case. This appointment includes an extensive history and examination by Dr. Carlson, evaluations for treatment, and creation of the treatment plan. It might include nutritional changes, nutritional supplements, acupuncture, homotoxicology, or herbal medications. It is important that you are on time and bring as much history that you can. Treatment plans may also not fully be determined that day, as some research for your case may be required.
Re-evaluation times are case based and may range from 10-30 minutes. The pet is reexamined and the treatment plan altered as needed.
Drop off appointments are available. These are usually for established patients and are scheduled in advance like a regular appointment. Your furry friend is dropped off at the clinic between 7:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. During the day, we will do the examination and the doctor will call you with the findings.
Referrals. If you were referred by one of our current clients, be sure to tell our staff at the time of the appointment and record it on the new client form. That client will receive a $10.00 certificate for veterinary services or products!
